What Does a Command Unit Do?
A Command Unit controls connected equipment such as gates, barriers and doors, allowing authorised users to operate the entrance by calling the unit or using the CU COMPANION app.
Authorised users can operate the entrance equipment by calling the unit, sending a text message or using the CU Companion app. It’s a practical solution for sites where visitor communication isn’t required.

Once a site is live, routine access changes such as adding new users, removing existing users and updating access times can all be managed remotely through the Commtel CONFIG app, making it easier to support your customers.
The Command Unit supports up to 1,300 authorised users, making it suitable for everything from small private installations to larger multi-user sites.
Where monitoring is required, AUX-triggered SMS alerts can be used to notify users when connected equipment changes state.
Faster to Commission
In its default configuration, the Command Unit rejects incoming calls and activates the relay automatically when called.
That removes the need to programme authorised numbers before handover or explain a specific calling process to users. Once the installation has been tested, users simply call the number to operate the entrance.
