What is IP?

IP stands for Internet Protocol, the set of rules that allows devices to communicate over a network. In the context of intercoms, IP technology means the system connects via a data network, such as Ethernet or 4G, instead of traditional phone lines. This enables faster communication, improved reliability, and greater functionality, such as video calling, remote access, and real-time monitoring through apps. By using IP, the NX1 opens the door to smarter, more connected entry systems that are built for the digital age.
